The sweater for my friend turn out the right size, see she is an internet friend, so I never met her. Then, I was never happy with the red and black, it was too short and the neck was too wide, so I did it again, this time on the Kiss, with u-stitch! What do you think?
Yesterday the hats and booties, started their travel to TTT.
And last I made a pair of mittens, Bob calls them the smoking mittens, they were done on the prototype for The Kiss 2 way adjustable gague. I like how the gusset turn out.
Hope your Holidays will be full of peace and love!
Long time without posting!I have been pretty busy! Got a new toy: the adjustable Kiss sock loom for fine gauge! And I got some of the new Red Heart for socks, and also some of the Sensation sock yarn, playing around has been great! Here is the loom with GumBall's sock! Some of the other socks I made with the Adjustable:
What do you think about Mr. GumBall?
Then I decided to try the felted beret pattern on the Kiss, I think it turn out pretty good.
No, time left to make Christmas Presents, so the Kiss got assemble as a board for 2 quick project:
I wanted for a while to make a pair of baby pants with booties:
They have snaps on the legs to make it easier to put them on. Now to find the time to write the pattern!
And last I am working on 2 sweaters, this is one of them:
This week, I finally realized that like many of you, I have Detour Syndrome. I am afraid that is why is going to take for ever to finish the Crazy Afghan and the Monster Afghan!
One of this week's detour was : the Seamless hat! one of the groups was talking about it, so I try to find the pattern for it, but couldn't so I did a baby hat and then after a couple of tries, I made one for me that fits just perfect! Are you ready to see me?
No! that is Betty!
That is me, hope nobody got scared.
Now, I have to make one for my son, he wants it a little bit tighter, so I took one washer out, it should be finished tomorrow.
Oh,I almost forgot, I made a second triangular shawl, on Suede Yarn, pretty long, but that is the way my friend want it.
I got some more yarn! Rd Heart socks yarn and glow in the dark!
With the glow in the dark I started an scarf, show you that next post, and the sock yarn is waiting for the arrival of a new loom!
Please remember to look at the Patterns category for freebies, an inspiration.
The little summer dress is finished!
I did it by gut feelings, my Princess is away camping, and I think is too small for her, after Rebeca's comment! Oh, well might end up being for the littlest Princess.
This is done on the Kiss, and not using any short rows, another one of those techniques, unique to the Kiss. By putting more washers on one end than the other, you can accomplish something pretty similar to a piece done using short rows. Here is how the yoke of the dress was done. The skirt part was also done using the same principle.
And last 2 pair of booties, on the Little Kiss, 16 pegs, on 2 different gauges, and 2 different yarns. Now, Have a great looming time!
Pretty busy around here. I have Mr. GumBall for a few days.
He is camera shy! He is so good (grandma talking).
I got a new loom, so I have to give it a try, using 239 pegs. Here is my new toy : and here it is with the MONSTER PROJECT
so far it has 7 rows, the stitch I am using is panes: the instructions for it can be found at the stitches' categories.
Then I am making another Summer top, on a different gauge, with ribbon yarn, I am following the same pattern, the only slight difference is going to be on the collar part; if my math is right it should yield a 44" around. These Kiss Looms, are the greatest! Last is my crazy afghan: What do you think about him! It has a long time to go, I keep putting him aside!
And last: they got mailed last weekend. Well have a wonderful looming time. Oh, one more thing, I will do my best to not take a detour, next week, and get the pattern for the Summer Top written, so keep tune.
