The pattern for the sock class got done, that will be going to the group, later on today.
That determined how my week went. You see, the sock for the class, was about my youngest daughter's size. The most picky person in the WORLD! And for once, she liked the idea of wearing something made by ME! I couldn't believe it. So it was the first sock: it is not perfect, It is too pointy! There goes the second one, and the third one, and the ...
So OK, I made a tiny pair
Then I said, maybe I should make a pair for Gum Ball, but what size? so I did one just to see if the diameter and the length was OK
. Well, it wasn't.
On the search for the right one for Nicky I ended up with a pretty big one, that is the right size for my other daughter, but since I could tell it was too big, I never really finished it, it only has 2 rows of ribbing. At least now I know for sure Rebe's size.
Finally: I decided to make Nicky's on the adjustable that Bob just finished: now I can decrease after the ankle part, and they will be tighter on the calf part. One of the complaints I receive from My DD.Her words were: Come on Mom, you can do better than this.
So here they are:
I thought, excuse my modesty, that they are the best pair of socks I ever made, but guess what she said: I can not wear my shoes with these! Of course without trying the shoes on!
Oh well...
The poncho is almost done, but with so many socks floating around it didn't get finish.
